First use today..in bay chop. Largest sail I have owned in a while (but wanted a light wind sail) so felt large but still light and easy to control. Had more grunt than a 2008 6.5 Zen I borrowed earlier today but most pleasing was how much low end it has compared to my 3 Ezzys. It's like instant power instead of waiting for it. Goes good upwind and easy to rig. Main problem was getting used to the longer boom length, it seemed like I was waiting for ever for it to flip during gybes ... but that could be due to my slack technique too. Overall - love it.

I have a full set of 08 Alphas and find that they have a wider range compared to last year. As Cruiser points out, especially the bottom end has improved in my opinion.

It does require a good throw to help it rotate in the larger sizes but nothing which is a fun stopper.

Probably one of the better sail sets I have owned for a while.
