Looking for a flat/choppy water sail for my 120ltr x cite ride and maybe occasional use for my 100 fsw( , need something to get me going in 10knots+. Recently purchased a Gator for bump and jump and im really happy with that so im thinking of staying with the severnes can anyone give me some feedback on these sails

Lee, I bought the NCX as it was a good price but was not happy with the build in terms of durability. I did not use them and traded up to Ezzy Freerides and am glad I did.
It cost me a fair bit more but worth it in my opinion.
If you get the NCX it is fairly thin mono and I would spend the extra and get the Pro as it has Xply. Unless you are extra careful in your handling of your sails, which I am not.
Only my opinion and go and look before you buy.
Cheers
Jeffro

I have a Severne Turbo 8.6 and it's a great sail, though too much monofilm for my liking. I think I will avoid any sail with monofilm in future as I am not careful enough in my rigging/derigging.

As monofilm sails are so susceptible to crinkles, I really think it destroys the resale value.

In my opinion get another Gator if they are full xply (which I remember them being).

I brought a 6.5 NCX Pro in mid June. I didn't have the opportunity to use it until last week briefly when sailing at Rankines Landing (Hindmarsh Island, SA) and today at Largs Bay, SA. I used it briefly last week (4 runs), but was over powered. However, even over powered, it felt very balanced and stable. Today I sailed the ocean with the wind cross/off shore (with a 100L freeride board). The wind was off the land and was as gusty as a lake (ie: fingers of wind). I sailed for about four hours and had a really good time. I'm glad I got it and highly recommend it :)

has a super good wind range, grunty down below but i found it a little skittish up top, but depends on the board you use.... try a north if you want a more stable powered up sail
