Any feedback on Severne dtl Mako?
How do they compare with other wave boards in the same segment?
Any comments on the different sizes?
(I am still enjoying massively my 2016 starboard quad)
Cheers,
Fab
I know they do custom sizes if productions are not quite right.
None of the productions are small enough for me so hard to demo. Will need to replace my heavily used 2015 74 SB quad soon ,but maybe hard to match.![]()
I so hope they make something bigger at around 96/99 litres for the future, sweet looking board !!
We get plenty of 15/20 SW days on the east coast with perfect 2-6 ft waves, that need a little bit more float for the gusty but perfect dtl, wave days ??
How is the construction of those severn board? My mach1 is not that well built, for a first impression...that wasn't the best. Was very interested in that mako and the nano...any experience.
My Severne Dyno, is top shelf on the construction, strong, light construction, paint doesn't flake off, way better than previous Cobra build boards, eg stinger. I'm happy with my sails - blades/S-1, carbon booms, harness etc.
I did go through 2 x carbon rdm extension, but back to alloy Severnes ect all good ??

Yeah I have a Fox and a Dyno both of which have great construction. Thumbs up from me.

Just to add my two cents.
I have a Severne Nano. Its taken lots of knocks over 6 months of sailing and doesn't have a mark on it. It seems strong, and is certainly light for its size.
The goretex vent plug seems to be working well at the moment but I worry about its longevity and would like to be able to replace it.
The footstrap spacings don't fit my feet perfectly but thats individual of course.
It makes a weird whistling sound when its on the plane (running as a quad and yes I did put the blank in the middle fin slot!)
All in all I think they are onto something with the build. I believe they are compression moulded but whatever they are doing seems to be working.
