Just had my first weedy outing on these 17cm fins in probably the worst weed I have seen at Dutch Inn.
Great! Even the heaviest weed was shed and allowed me to get planing in an onshore Westerly and have a bit of fun.
Fins are very stiff and well finished. Come with screws / plates and covers at $134 Canadian for the pair.

Swapped out a pair of JP 7.5 inch that were terrible at collecting weed. Placed the fins more forward in the box to try and make the centre of the fin in the same place.
Less drive than the more upright and bigger fins but turned really nicely and allowed me to have fun when I would have been frustrated by the old fins.
I've been using them as well in both my twin and my quad, I find them great for getting through think weed and skimming the sand flats in shallow water. I like to run them in my quad when the winds a bit light as I find they turn better (looser) when under powered and just surfing the waves. I personally find that the difference in drive is minimal just put them right at the back of the box and they do just fine.
Cheers.
I use a larger version in my freeride board and like it..38cms similar shape..It can be 'deadly' if you shove the board around with your thigh when waterstarting
..only bad bruising and scrape but it is sharp and sticks out the back .Probably all weed fins are the same.
All weed fins stick out at the back and sometimes the trailing edge can get your foot or leg and usually leaves a mark or even a cut. I have had one cut through my 2mm bootie and also the top layer of my foot. Not serious though.
Jamie Carter from the Marauders cut his foot between the toes when sailing at Canton and ended up with 7 stitches. So be careful with them.
