Some one told me on here you cant buy a brand new 2011 kite and bar for under $1000 in Oz... and my reply was the days are numbered

well - your numbers up and 'Switch Kites' are in Australia

Had a go on 'Tightlines' 12m Nitro ? in light winds - tough built kite and plenty of bottom end grunt..

So I guess we'll just be giving away our used kites for the 2012 season. At least the old Links were rigid enough to double as a tent. We'll just have to come up with some other uses ah.
It's the Chinese that are to blame of course. Forced us into this situation of wasteful consumerism.

It was actually the 12m Method you tried STW's.

I just arrived back today from two weeks in Mauritius, the wind was a bit lighter than we had hoped for so the 12 got a bit of use.

It was 13 degrees when I arrived in Perth at midday today, damn I wish I was still over there, I lived in boardies and a t shirt or rashie the whole time.

"Laughable". I'm glad you see the funny side. For a minute there I thought you were taking the comment seriously.

Ha ha I knew someone would quiz me about riding a tt, I ripped a fin box out of my surfboard so it was in for repair for a few days.
I did get out on the surfboard quite a bit but because the wind was fairly light and the lefts like one eye were breaking so fast it was just to hard so we spent most of our time just playing around on the rights.
It's a nice spot though flat water in the lagoon and waves out the back.

I just had my first proper session on my 9m Method and was really blown away by how well the kite performed in the waves, especially riding unhooked in slightly onshore wind was just so easy, didnt have to worry about the kite, just ride the waves, by far one of the best wave kites I've used.
