What is the prima-donna of windsurf wave harnesses these days?
Looking for a good comfy one which will last a fair few seasons as my current one is in its twilight years.
Whats the best is very personal.
I prever the Dakine T5 as its a stif one with a lot of support on the back.
If you prever more supple harness there are various different models but also brands.
I hear also very good storys about the Prolimits and Flying objects as well.
I have been using a Mystic Warrior waist harness, its now about 4 years old but still going strong, really comfortable and does not crush your rib cage, great back support, and the bar does not roll up when hooked in like some other harnesses I demo'd at the time.
Two types now: Slider and fixed bar.
Slider slides around so that each tack your not twisted up as much, I used a fixed and let it pivot on my body. New ones will loosen up a bit so make sure it fits snug at the shop, the neoprene with stretch a little to your profile. Get one with a lot of back support, most of the new ones of all brands are pretty nice for that now.
I use a Flying Objects Contour and like that alot. Haven't used the Dakine before. I wear harnesses out pretty quick, this years FO design looks a bit tougher than 2011.
Just go down to a shop and try some on, choose the one that best suits you. $ spent on a harness is $ well spent. You want to protect your back.
