Thanks,Yep, It has been on and off a bit in the last week. Need to get AMAC to chase it up with the host company.
Apologies everybody. It appears we are having major drama's accessing the site. Andrew is working on it and hopefully it will be sorted quickly.
Super busy month.![]()

Had time at the Taranaki Wave Classic to rig the 2010 Kaos & 2010 Koncepts.
Quick Observation:
Both models came with bright vibrant colours.
Both models are light in weight while the reinforcements have been strategically placed over the Sails for durability.
The Kaos wave sail has all the sail area reinforced with the various forms of x-ply, the wave gurus are happy with the set.
The Koncept 2010 appears to have a deeper draft, thus will allow light weight sailors a move too smaller sail sizes to bring up there efficiency & compete with the heavy weights.
Yep Spotty christened my 2010 6.4 Koncept for me on Sunday. I haven't tried it yet as he still has it and probably won't give it back. I,ll have to send round the heavies.
His comment was that it had more grunt than his trusty 07 6.6 but felt like a 5.5 to handle. Was pretty stoked.
I christened my 2010 6.4 Kult. I think this will be my most used sail this season, was really happy.
I used my 5.3 kaos up at lano last week. the same day it arrived. was very impresed with how it looked and it felt very nice on the water. I'd describe it as having power on tap, very controllable and light in the hands.
that mast looks super tall for the sail size .. 6m?
...and whats the idear behind the way the boom is so far into the lower leech ??? does it afect the sail at all .. or is it just for show ?
The 5.8 koncept runs on a 430 mast.
The larger cutout allows shorter boom lengths and helps give the sail a lighter feel in the hands, less back hand pressure. The 2010 with the larger cutout definitely feels like a smaller sail to handle than last years yet has equal or more power.
The rear end of the batten above the boom also flex's a bit when hit by gusts and helps depower by opening the leech a little.
Thats Alex Morales a US Team Rider. He has been helping Andrew developing the larger sizes, really giving great feedback and experimenting with a few things. He is really pleased with the way the Formula sails are working.
In those photos he is on a second generation Prototype 8.9 , same as the 7.1 I have been using. The design has evolved a bit more from there.
