Hi everyone!
I am looking to buy a few new sail in size 5.0 and 5.8 to use for slalom and speed sailing, i have few Maui TR7 and TR6 sail but they are hard to water start i was looking at the KA sails Koncept but never sailed them, any info please on upwind and water start?![]()
Thanks Dani.
Dani, A Koncept could be a good choice for you. It is definitely more user freindly than the "full blown" race sails and as a sail that has been at the top of the speed table for many years it,s speed credentials cannot be questioned.
If you ask a question on the KA Forum or the "Ask KA" page on the website some of the team riders and ambassadors will be able to help you out.http://www.windsurfing.kasail.com/forum/

Couldn't agree more, with the new 2012 model the boom length is slightly longer and the head slightly smaller, giving more bottom end drive, where you need it most. ![]()

+1
I run a 5.0 and 5.8 Koncepts as my main sails, could not be happier with them. mine are 07 models but will definetly upgrade over winter, have the 2011 6.6 and it is also great.
I have zero touble getting upwind actually they blaze upwind and I always use weedies in a F2 missile,
speed wise have done over 40 on both and nauticals above 36.
I can't waterstart a sail with a wide luff but have no trouble with the Koncepts in most conditions. If there is little wind they are easy to uphaul also.
No problem on going up wind either.
After getting one I loved it so much I bought two more!
Sorry for late reply, but I want to add myself to the list of happy customers. I have the 5.8 and 6.6 2008 models and they are my favorites. Easy to rig, easy to handle and great performance.
