Has anyone got one of these ? Could you provide some feed back? Do you ride it as a quad or thruster and if a thruster what size and sails, etc. cheers ??

Don't have one ... But it's pretty easy to guess how it's going to sail based on the outline and test reports of the 88 and test reports in Surf for the 2018 RTQ 88 .. there's usually trade-offs .. I'd guess 0/5 for bump & jump and 5/5 for cross-off wave sailing in real waves. Hopefully you can salvage a 1/5 or 2/5 for bump & jump if you switch to a thruster setup.

I'd be interested to have feedback as well.
This look like a pretty unique board for shlog and ride in perfect sideoff conditions

Sorry for a late reply.
I love this board for float and ride, it's magic with good waves. 88kG with 5.3/5.7 Ezzy elites, great for dtl, I haven't used as a thruster just standard quad fins.
I've ordered the 94 to complement the 102 for 4.7-5.3 conditions.
I use a fanatic stubby 99Litre for all on shore waves though from 5.0 to 5.7 and also love that. 90 % of my wave sailing is a 102 ultimate and 99 stubby on 5.3 and 5.7. A perfect combo for me. Cheers

Thanks a lot Nerdburger for your reply.
I should buy the board in the week in remplacement to my "Pocket 94" a little bit to small for me as a biggest board into my Quiver !!!
I weigh 80kg and it should be my fat board for wave sailing with 5.3 on it. I predict some great surf sailing with this board!

Hey Nerdburger - any chance you can measure the tail width at 20 cm , 30cm and 40 cm ? ... I want to compare how narrow that tail profile is vs my float and ride bigger boards ... I love the idea of a super narrow tail taking some pressure off the back foot / ankle landing aerials etc on big float and ride boards ... ( my back ankle hurts every session these days )

102 jp ultimate- seabreezer
20cm from tail - width, 270cm
30cm from tail - width, 340 cm
40cm from tail - width, 420 cm
pic shows hip in tail between 40cm and 30cm, the tail is 90 cm wide measured from 10 mm from end, rounded flat tail set up.

Hope this heaps, boards definitely for DTL conditions, but fastish rocker, but still surprisingly good all round wave board.

fantastic ... thanks NB .... board looks stunning ... will look how mine are .... I have a 98 ltr with 34.5 ish tail ... but jp looks narrower behind that 30cm vs mine - which all lessons slap / leverage of a heavily landed tail (in the whitewater etc)

You always run as quad ? .... Ive found last few years thruster / tri-fin really makes fast rockers come alive (with strap / fin positions pretty rear) ... vs quad which can make a fast rocker feel a bit average / dull .... at least - thats the effect ive found on a couple of my boards ... quads - always felt I was missing some rocker , .... then trifin - suddenly they felt pretty special ...

Yeah only ran as a quad, will try as a thruster on my 94 and 102 ultimates when I get to Perth, to buy some suitable fins to test out.
So far only ridden standard fins on my boards and been happy with them.

Hey NB .. how does it feel floatwise vs stubby 99 ?

Ive got a stubby 99 btw - found it rips on another level in sideshore with k4 ezzy angled fronts 3 deg (i run 10's)

94 has similar stability feel to 77 stubby and similar flotation feel to 82 stubby.

Obviously two extremes of designs .. stubby vs pinny .. thin vs domed deck impacting displacement etc
