Have sailed this new board a few times now and am really happy with it. It replaced my 120L xcite. It planes super early and is very fast and stiff. You can really push hard against the rail and feel comfortable that it won't spin out. I'm mostly using it with a 7.5 V6. Jibes really well. Seems to behave well in chop, I don't feel that the shoulders are going to catch. All in all couldn't be happier.
The weight of this thing is incredible, hopefully it's goin to last!!

Glad to hear your like your Superport 109, Lordhowe. I was thinking about this board myself. How does it compare with your 120 X-cite ride, does it feel bigger or smaller?. What weight are you? and what wind range would you use it in.
Hope I'm not pushing things with so many questions.

It definitely feels smaller but not dramatically so. Its 66 wide rather than 68. The range will be better. I weigh 72kg and will use this mainly with a 6.6 or 7.5 so 13-18k. It feels a lot stiffer than the excite, you can keep pushing and it will keep going faster, with the excite, the ride was a lot softer and I could feel it not wanting to go any faster. This board gets on the plane just as early, in fact almost quicker cause it's so light. You can pump the sail a few times, push with your back foot and you're on the way. In the jibe you have to be a little more dedicated but if your jibes are fine you won't notice the difference.
Bottom line is there is heaps more performance available, so if you like going fast and being fairly locked down it is fantastic.
I am happy I went for the smaller size rather than for the 118L. The sails I want to use it with easily suit this size.
go for it, you'll love it.

Hi all,

I have the same board in 100L. I weigh 68kgs. I used to have the JP Xcite Ride 110 and the Supersport is definitely faster in all points of sailing, including gybes. The one thing I love about the SS vs XCR is that it sails over chop lifting off the fin vs ploughing through.

Cheers
David

yeah, I';d agree with that. What sails are you using the 100L with?

Hi there,

Im using a NP RS:Slalom 6.7 as my biggest sail for the 100L Supersport. I use this sail with a 36cm fin. Then I drop down to a 5.7m NP Hellcat with a 32cm fin. If it gets any windier than that I usually change to my wave board.

The 6.7m / 100L combo usually gets me planning in 13kts of wind up to around about 20kts.

Cheers,
David
