G'day Crash

I have the series IV 104L and have found the bog standard JP freeride Weddies (G10) will give a good turn of pace 31cm 37kn (on anaother board) 36cm 35kn (on the 104L)

The Maui Fin co weedies also seem quite good (although Ive never ridden one)
A few of the crew like the Choco's although the larger ones are definitely better for bottom end.

If you are looking for a speed weedie, then Mr Hacksaw can be introduced to quite a few slalom fins to make a good weedie

I have one of these babies.

I use Choco weed fins and have done 35 knots with the 33cm,
However Choco weeed fins are pretty rare and highly sought after.

With a 34cm upright fin the pointing ability is awesome.

Using a 28cm and a 5.8m sail this is my speed weapon in over 25 knots.

Enjoy

Thanks for the feedback its a rare board here in the UK only 6 sold I’m told and its difficult to get info on best set up. I was out with a 8,5 Tushingham Lightening with a Mau G10 48 cm fin seemed slightly under finned for light winds.
I’ve got a 40 cm Formula Duo Weed fin from Wolfgang Lessacher on my Starboard 160 formula board, it gives a fantastic range of performance with sails from 10 meters down to 7 meters. Does the Chocco weed fin give a wide range? What about mast foot setting? The normal middle setting of 135cm from the back of the board is tight up to the front end of the setting so I set it middle of the range?
thanks Crash
