Hey,
does anyone in the group have any experience with the magic wave? Especially the bigger sizes (105-115). How does it compares to the freestyle wave and how good is for bump and jump? I'm planning to get a new high wolf board and I'm between the magic wave and the freestyle wave. Main goal is to get into wave sailing in the future but will start using the board just as bump and jump until I get comfortable with it.
i weight about 225lb and planning to always use the board in over 20 knots wind. I was planning to get the 105

thanks !

I haven't tried the bigger ones, but i had the 95.
I wouldn't go for It as a b&j board.
Not that it wouldn't do the job, but it has a special feeling that is ok for sailing in between waves but that i would not appreciate so much to just do long fast runs that need a powerful feeling underfoot.
I could be good if you fastly turn your attention to waves and wants something easy that will still follow you when you begin to
push it harder un the surf.

Why you didn't like it for b&j? I heard that it works pretty good over choppy water. Does it need a lot of power to get going? The reason I heard that it wasn't the best board for b&j was that the rails would engage really easy and you had to pay attention to the board all the time. Also in the reviews a lot of people talk about that special feeling, what's the difference to other boards? And in your opinion what's the most similar board to the magic wave out there? The fanatic freewave and Goya costume look pretty similar.
my goal is to get used to the smaller board and learn to carve and jibe in choppy water which can get big at times, then make the transition to the ocean side

thanks
