Other JP topic, was too old to comment in. Anyway below is the new 2014 JP Speed 45, received a couple of weeks ago.
Differences between previous model-
Graphics
Slightly lower nose rocker
Slightly lighter
With very very minimal adjustments, if any at all?
Overall, finish is unreal. First test was a 41+ Speed. Yet to have ideal conditions. So more comments, with further testing. Between my 013 45 and dad on the 14 model.
Nice one Izaak, just need to have the Evo6 and that will be a perfect colour combo. I actually like the colours of the new NP sails.

Thanks l thought so heading to wind surf & snow Sydney to put one on order cheers. ![]()
Cool! Yes I have the 2013 56, such and awesome size. Very versatile board and quick! By far my favourite
so I'm assuming the replacement 55 would be awesome!

Yea that happened to me too, to bad that foot strap got in the way!
Dad's second go on the 014 speed 45..... A 42.9 on the dial. Will try and get a review on it written up tonight.
Thats pretty impressive on that board. I trying to get a go on a demo model (55) as lm about 98kg .just need the right conditions up here in Sydney. Ye.ha.![]()
Guys, can anybody tell me how would the 56 one behave in choppy water? I'm currently using JP Slalom 66 and sometimes wonder how would the narrower board go. There are quite a steep and messy waves where I sail and the distance between them is very short, 5 meters or so. It's also quite messy as there are plenty of boats passing by. Not ideal condition for speed sailing.

I have the JP slalom IX 56, and behaves very well through chop. Sits right on the tail. The chop your describing sounds farmilar to a spot here. Possibly also a tad larger fin than recommended will really help. A 32cm works well but the 34cm I've currently been using just sits the board up that little higher to help float across the chop. Overall a the 56 would be easier to use if you're powered up on it.
