What is the point of posting a thread with a pic of a new board you have just become aware of - or specs of something - without a review?

The companies are perfectly capable of showing us they have a new board out.

To my mind this area is for reviews by users, to cut thru the hype and bullsh!t so you know what you're getting.

IMHO

seabreeze is my favourite source of windsurfing gear pics. I wish there were more people posting real life pics of their new stuff.

What is also quite annoying is when people continuously make comments based on pre-conceived ideas when they haven't even tried the gear.

Like when, for example, um I don't know,...maybe say when somebody keeps saying 4 batten or 3 batten sails are inherently unstable and of no use for the average person, just a marketing gimmick for the fly-weight pro.

I just wish those people would eat humble pie when they finally move into the 21st century and actually try the gear and find out it is actually rather good.

Just an example you understand.

(don't eat too much humble pie though - the extra weight might mean you need to upgrade to a thruster)

I hate it when people use this section to complain about things they are unhappy about

Nice free shot.

I said they were never as stable. When I tried one I was wrong about the new gen sails and I had the guts to admit it. I also tried it repeatedly and didn't post until I had a thorough try.
Bit like a board I initially didn't like, I waited after about 15 uses in 2mths to post about it here so it would be balanced and well thought out. How many threads do u see where people admit they were wrong? Fk all.

So what.
Has no bearing upon the fact that the last 3 threads here were not gear reviews, not by any means.

the stubby one I posted is a review, made by an elite windsurfer, I'll admit it's in French, but still a review !!

Hi Mark - i think you made an error here mate, this thread should probably be under 'General' as it is not a gear review. Dont worry, everyone makes mistakes.
