Hi all !
I'm a french aussie (or an aussie french) living in New Caledonia.
Been reading the forum quite a lot lately, thought I would ask a question.
I'm upgrading my quiver at the moment as all the surfshops are on sale
.
Tempted by a Pryde H2 7.7, my everyday sail being a Hellcat 6.7.
I use a 2010 112l RRD firerace.
Never had the chance to try one, I do like the cam sails but not so much the large ones like the RS evo and Rs slalom.
Can anyone give some comments for having tried one ?
Thanks.
I've got a 2010 7.7 H2 and it is a nice sail. The H2 is a light wind sail with more bottom end than the Hellcats.
It is nothing like the RS race or slaloms. The H2 is a lot lighter and easier to handle.
I use KA Koncepts now but the 7.7 H2 will get me planing quite a bit earlier than my 7.5 Koncept but doesn't have the top end wind range or speed of the Koncepts but still has the advantages of cams to keep you going through the lulls.
When I first got it I was using a generic constant curve mast and couldn't get the sail to rig right. I ended up getting a NP mast and it improved the sail a lot. If you already have a NP mast you will be ok.
