Green versus Black G10

Looks like lately a few companies started using black G10 material. MFC, BlackProject... Looks like MUF is sticking with greenish G10. If you use both do you notice any difference in performance, weight, strength, stiffness..? Any changes in the fin foil thickness?

Hmm this is interesting green vs black G10. I have ridden MUF- good green fins but quite heavy. MFC- the black quad and thruster sets are well suited. Currently I am on K4s and I am not changing them anytime soon.

I have a green and a black severne fin, I try to use both equally so not to discriminate

It is just tinted resin so in theory has no bearing on stiffness. There are many different suppliers of G10 and FR4 which is the fire retardant version and the quality varies. That is the biggest factor.

Once you go black, you never go back ... or yellow in my case.

They just seem to make the FR4 in lots of colours where G10 is mainly just natural ( the translucent green)
