Anyone out there seen in the flesh or used the Goya Eclipse 2010?

How does it compare to the likes of Simmer / Ezzy?
Whats the build quality like??

Cheers,

a mate of mine was in maui last month, he sailed on simmers and goyas. he reckons the simmer icons a better all round/power wave sail then the eclipse (or maybe he was using wave3d's, not 100% on that). but the guru is the best pure dtl sail. will ask him more about it next time i see him.

Ive been using the Goya Eclipse 2010 since mid Sept and rate them highly

Build quality is top notch.
I used the 3d wave lasted year and was amazed how much abuse they took.

The Eclipse are even stronger.Ive smashed mine into the reef a few times already and only managed to put a small hole in the luff tube.

The wind range is awesome
The Eclipse has heaps of low end power great for onshore or gusty conditions that most of us sail in.Its also was great for dlt at Gnaraloo as well

Its needs heaps of down haul but once set right most of the power can be adjusted
with the outhaul

i use the 5.3,4.7 & 4.1 the most noticeable thing about the eclipse is the stability even the 4.1 isn't twitchy

If you want a great all round waves sail that can take heaps of abused then you wont be disappointed.

Havent used the Ezzy or Simmer but have heard good reports about simmer.
Jason Diffin was the designer at simmer for years and now designs the Goya's so would expect them to have a similiar feel
