Here is a tale of woe which ends in a love story. After stupidly allowing my fave board to be used (abused) by a crazy man (thanks KA86) where he proceeded to reel off massive stalled forewards & double attempts I realised he'd sucessfully created a second mast track in the deck of my board. Being in Geraldton at the time & across the road from Riks shop I tried out an Exoxet U-surf. Totally different to my JP FSW, I have in fact had 3 JP FSW (02,04,05)
The Exocet get onto the plane even quicker & is toatlly at ease under foot. Hitting a big jump is really easy & the landing is super soft due to the heal cushions - awesome for people with bad knees & backs. The board absoloutly rips on the wave, I'm a total tool wave rider but this board gives huge amounts of confidence to the rider & the edge is super sharp at the tail, the square tail is a trip too. I used the board with a 6.1m down to a 4.7m in crazy conditions at Coronations & it's as if the board assumes the size of the sail you are using eg it felt nice n small/compact when over 30kts then nice n floaty at 18kts....weird but great. I'm yet to get off the water with anything but a smile on my face after using this puppy.
Finish & fittings are top notch.
This board has "Shaped for You" written on the rail & they sure got that right.
I can highly recommend this board, give it a try.

Hi Al,
You should try the new 06/07 JP FSW. They feel totally overhauled... Somehow Gnigler managed to make the boards more wavey while keeping the early planing and high speed the boards have been known for. I also retract one of my earlier comments that the JP fins are no good. The fin which came with the 93FSW seems to be an excellent fit. Unfortunately the foot straps are still not as comfy as Dakine Contour straps.
Don't mean to diss your Exocet U-haul but I think if you'd give one of those new JPs a go you wouldn't go back to the U-haul. I would definitely say that I would plane earlier, be faster with the new FSW than you on your U-haul...
I guess I will have to wait till November next year to put it to the test...
Bring it on Big Guy - that is if your JP lasts till then ;o). I may have to get back up to Gerro in the new year to get some training in I think.
In regards to the fin I guess they where gonna get it right after 10 years of trying....well done JP. I still rate them as good boomerangs.

What do you weigh Big Al? I have a Exocet Exo 105 and 95 and are pretty kenn on the U-surf. Stehsegler maybe you should try a u-surf and then see how good ya JP is?
I'm 85kgs so the 84L is spot on for me. Try out the U-Surf, you wont be disappointed.
Don't bother trying to change Stehseglers mind Exoman, he's got JP on the brain - just like that crazy Russian dude....! Wake up and smell the other board brands boys.

the problem is that no one wants to let me try their gear... don't know why.
goin' back to WA in Feb for 3 weeks. Mainly a holiday holiday but will bring some windsurf gear in case it gets windy.
I could hook you up with some gear if you need big guy. Everything except my new kit as I want to wreck that gear personally.
