Hi Russell,
Doesn't look like to many people have ridden one yet.
I know we haven't sold an Evo 100 through the shop.
I'll give the boys in WA a call and see if they've got any feedback and get back to you.
A few of the guys might be going down to Milang for a sail-come-BBQ next weekend if you're keen. You can try out some of the other Starboard and MauiSails gear while you're their.

A couple are on the water around Sydney. Should be able to give a bit more feedback after the Geroa event but for the limited feedback I have had so far it's all good. Apparently the board bites a lot harder than a wave board that size should.
Geroa in 30knots be a good test for the range of the board so I'll get back to you after the weekend. Maybe we can get those guys to put some first hand stuff up also.
Cheers,
Sam.
Thanks for replies Tony and windSurfnSnow - I've been riding my 112 skate that I got from a Vic sailor with a freewave fin in (very) small waves - good float etc but a bit slippery on the bottom turn if you push it a bit hard - but surprisingly good fun. I really didn't think something with that volume would be as good in an environment it wasn't really designed for - makes an Evo 100 sound appealing. looking forward to a review
Cheers Russh
Hey Russell,
Got an email today re the Evo 100. There is a competitive wave sailor in NSW using one. It sounds like it bottom turns really well and is a true wave board, not just labeled and marketed as one.
Sorry, that's about all I got for you at this stage, they are a new board for '08 so I guess we'll hear more as the season go's on.
Personally, I think the Kombat is the way to go. (I've just got the 79 litre model, now just need to get the cast off my leg so I can use it).
I know you have had a kombat before, but the '08 model is completely redesigned and much more wave oriented than in the past.
I've got a demo kombat 96 if you want to take it out.
Cheers,
Muzza
ps - your sail is in!
