Took one of these for a spin a week ago. My background is kinetic/delta euphorias so I do like more than 1 fin. Conditions were 15-20 knots starting off cross on to cross off at the end of the session. Small waves no higher than boom height. I weigh 87 kg. I demo'd the wood one and used a 5.3 m sail.
All in all I liked the board. Looks great. Straps were not that comfortable and would get different ones if I owned it. Had the fins about the middle of the boxes. Didn't have time to play around with fin positioning. Stable and feels good when on the plane. Not terrrific at going up wind but I am used to 3 fins so could well be better upwind than a single. A bit sticky getting on the plane but once up and going stayed there nicely. Pretty drivey sort of a bottom turn on it with lots of control. Wouldn't be suprised if it went really good in the big stuff. Good off the top without being super loose. Maybe was a little overfined. Might loosen up a bit with smaller or more flexi fins. Moving the fins forward might also loosen it up. Would love to try a wood/carbon one. After reading the board seeker article on twins I would also like to have a go on a RRD. I tried the Quattro 76L last year but it wasn't my cup of tea. Must be the only person in the world that doesn't like the quatro so I was suprised that I liked the Evil Twin.
