I purchased this speed board over 6 months ago and it just sat in my shed at one stage i even tried to sell it.
Last week i decided to give it try in 20-30knt winds on a very square course being 100kg i thought that i would struggle to get it going.
Using a 5.6m Loft Blade the SP40 simply popped onto the plane and accelerated effortlessy the strap position felt spot on and the board was very very easy to sail.
On my slalom board i was running mid 36 knts on that day and thought it would be a better option in those conditions my first 3 runs on the SP 40 were in the mid 38's at this point my GPS decided to die.
The way the SP40 is designed your back foot is very low to the water and this definetly contributes to the boards effortless control and stability, in the strongest gusts it just accellerates it won't buck or kick like a bull.
Construction is second to none (bullet proof)Chris and James should be congratulated on producing in my view the best range of boards on the market today. The SP50 is on its way to complement the SP40![]()
