Anyone used a Carbon Art 50cm Speed board?

I love speed sailing, and have an f2 missile XS, however, it needs perfect conditions to make it work. I have seen a CA 50cm speed, which is 83L and 50cm wide, so a pretty big speedboard, but looks like it would work well in less than perfect speed sailing conditions

Ideally looking for a board that will take me over 40kts - my PB is 37.3kts

My 2 Cents worth I would go for the CA44 for speed sailing I love mine I am 95kg and it has taken me to 45 knots on it's first day out
If there is power in your sail then this board will run super easy...
That 50 will get you over 40 but then you will want to go faster unless the static volume is required to putt you home, I would go for a 44.

I have one , love it . Use to have a 44 but at 100 kgs the 50 is more practical

I cracked 41.5kts on my first (and only) ride on a borrowed CA40 last year. I'm 95kg and was carrying a 5.8m2 sail. I had no trouble getting it going, although gybing was a new experience with the foot transition (yikes, wheres the board gone! ....). I loved it and now want to pick up a 2nd hand CA44.
We might be in competition! - nope, just noticed your location

Interested in your feedback on your F2 also. You don't think you'll crack 40kts on it? How is it in chop?

I've got a JP 55 (w) speed/slalom and a missile S (49w). I got a 41.7 (PB) at lake George this year, with lots of runs over 40knts on my JP. I went out on my missile and didn't do any better (all runs with a 5.6 severne overdrive).

I find it hard to do any better on my missile unless the conditions are really good. Come to think of it, I've never had those really good conditions to prove that, all my PB's are on my JP! The one year that lake G had awesome conditions (a lot of people hit 43-45), I didn't have the right weed fin's and got bogged in the weed.

My JP is so easy to sail, my view is that unless you have a really great spot, don't go too small.

I borrowed my friends CA 50 at Lake George this year. I achieved a 39+pb on my first sail on the board in 25kts, this was 2kt improvement. I'm sure 40+ is possible. I'm 88kgs and found the board really easy to sail. I recently purchased a Mistral 55 speed board. I've gone for the extra width and volume because the wind in Qld is not as consistent at LG.

The xs missile you have is a special board.. Will do over 40's easily and up to 45, just learn to ride it and set it up. so many people want to do 40 now but think its going to be easy. it ain't easy you are gunna have to earn it.....

I've only been sailing for 2 years, so my experiences are very limited, but, in less than perfect conditions i think i would stick to my CA SL55. The SL55 is no slouch though, i've had it over 41 knot 2sec and 36 knot 5x10. Just a great board in the rough with it's slalom rocker.
I've had one session on a CA 40 and trying to stay upwind, through chop was quite difficult. I ended up walking more than sailing, but found it much quicker to get to speed, off the wind, which i think helped my 10sec. Same 41 knot 2sec as SL55, but 39.8 knot 5x10 .

My SL55 is fantastic and is the go to board in rough water high wind sailing
