Over the past few months Ive changed to C3 fins with immediate success.
These fins rock they are one of the best and easiest fins ive use.
Through the chop at speed they are rock solid with no hint of letting go which is a big thing when going fast.
Ive just grown with confidants with these fins which and just push them more and more.
Today I clocked 39 knots with the Venom 34 on the IS86 and it was easy im sure its capable of more speed too.
So far Ive got a 25,30,34cm and I am looking at getting some of the bigger C3 fins.

These Fins ROCK. c3-Venome 30 and 26.
When the fins arrived I looked at the rake and said to myself - oh s..t - they will point like crap - I could not have been more incorrect.
You can load the fin up and just when you think it will let go p you fell this little pressure under your back foot as the fins bites, loads up and powers away.
I've had some serious spills in my time and going fast is about being in control. With the c3-venoms - I feel in control. As you power off the wind you do not have to think about the fin - it is doinng its thing.

I had my 26cm venom for a while now and love the fin for speed sailing,the only problem with C3 is the availabilty of fins.
It's basically hard to get hold of them i'm still waiting to hear from boogie about a 42cm venom coming back into stock.
I had my first few runs on a Venom 38 attached to a Isonic 111 & RSS 7.8. The first thing I noticed is the lack of any hint of spin out, something I need to watch with the stock Drake fins.
The fin had plenty of drive and felt very secure even when pushing hard in lulls. The water was smoothish and I tried a new mast track position on the board, managed to get a PB on this set up. I'm not sure what the main contributor was but the fin definitely delivered confidence. May be worth mentioning that (first use) the fin didn't sit flush on one side of the box, so it had a little less rake than it should, not sure how much of an impact this would make.
Comparing to my other good fin, a Tectonics Falcon, the Falcon feels a bit finer and also provides a bit more feel in what the fin is doing (I think). But this is comparing to a smaller Falcon and initial impression if the Venom (need more TOW). I suspect that I'll be getting another Venom in a 42 to replace the stock Drake 44.

has any one noticed the fins doesn't fit in a standard box 
theres about 3mm high either front or back,if you sand the back it will change the rake further back, and if you sand the front it will give more lift and mainly sand the bottom

yep jobs done took a bit off the bottom front, just the bottom,i'm not sure if these finns are machine foiled or if there moulded, useually if there machine'ed you can see the glass layers in the foil, either way there a full glass fin that's the base as well

From what i've seen Vando's proto was machine foiled or moulded and finished by hand but slightly different material, the production ones appear to be moulded. Not that it seems to make a scrap of difference.
you can make a moulded fin from scraps, but you cant machine foil scraps
