This time of year you can't beat a Wind Warrior Blast Shield

Is the Windwarrior Blast Shield any different to the closed cell neoprene rashies made by the big surf brands?

Not sure what the others are, but the Blast Shield I have had all last season, and still, has to be one of the better items I have in kit. Oh, and I hate cold weather,(anything below 20c) so its one of the reasons I can spasmodically keep some form of fitness over winter

To answer DL's question

3 main differences
1) metalite weave throughout the garment adding extra heat retention
2) designed and made by windsurfers & kiters FOR windsurfers & kiters
3) made right here in Australia using the highest grade materials (neoprene, metalite and polypropelene) sourced directly from Japan

What does that mean ?
= No third world labor (no sweatshops) and no third world cheap Chinese crap material

Got a mate who's cousins, uncles, sisters boyfriend met a chick in a pub who mentioned something about knowing one of the guys who has been doing some of the design and testing on their new range?

Kev at Windwarrior come through again!!!!!!!!!
Didnt answer cos he was working on new product for wettie. Me wanting a custom built job, he wanted to ensure it was available when I ordered.
Spose he could have sold me old style, but I hammered him so much to get a "blast shield" last year he remembered and gone the whole 100 yards to keep me a happy little vegemite.
Thanks Kev,If the ICARUS wettie its anything like to the blast shield, its a winner already

Sounds like you're from one f*cked up inbred family! Don't think any of you have a chance with that girl in the pub.

You sound awfully familiar Black Dog. Do you know that Kremlin bloke? Bit of a w*nker yar?

By the way, I think Virgin Airlines are awesome! (hope no one knows I'm Richard Branson!)

Hi Boris
I think you have me mixed up with someone else.
I'm from South Oz Not Tasmania (sorry easty)

If you re-read you'll hopefully understand the connection

I too like Virgin Airlines as most of my internal Aussie travel is with them and they are great when you want to transport your kit without attracting excessive luggage charges.
I have read Richard Branson's book but I do not know him personally ?

I work for an International airline and fly in fly out of Australia.
I wont name my employer for fear of being flamed for a seudo advert for them, as it seems you are set on trying to align me to a brand supporting conspiracy theory in your assumption that I am someone else

My only connection to WindWarrior is that I bought a BlastShiled off them a few seasons ago and rate it very highly, so much so that I m keen to get my hands on another one

After 6 years living and working overseas I have returned to South Australia where I live.
I spend time out of the country for work but I live in South Oz when in Australia.
My cars are registered in South Australia, I drink Coopers on tap.
I bought my BlastShield off the net and will be looking to purchase another and heard they may have some new designs
What's the go bro, do you work for a rival manufacturer ?

Actually I represent all of the "big 3". Quicksilver, Rip Curl and Billabong.
I am worried that Windwarrior are going to knock one of them off the podium.

OK I see the problem here, you think I am someone else cause they have a dog like mine !
Man that is funny.
I can see how that could happen given that border collies are such an 'uncommon' dog
I just had to google Birubi to find out wht you are talking about and if my dog can travel half way across the country and be back at my place in Pt Elliot overnight he needs to let me in on the secret of time travel

Just to answer a few questions and shed some light on the recent ww happenings
After some solid R&D we have finished our new BlastShield II design and have also developed a new combo springsuit utilising metalite and super stretch neoprene.
We have also released our Icarus Steamer... full glued and blind stitched

One of our guys (Kev) was down in South Oz over Easter on a car rally and no doubt mentioned the new designs (he will be punished)

We have checked our records and we did sell a BlastShield to a South Oz based sailor. We have since been in touch and can confirm he is still in South Oz and has a dog that is the same breed as Kev's
(It's a male and Kev's dog is a biatch)
We can also confirm he is a pilot and flys for an International carrier. Any of you who have seen Kev sail will know this is well and truly beyond his ability in terms of control, dexterity and all round co-ordination !
Hope this helps clarify a few things and if anyone does happen to see Kev can you tell him to get back to the office and check his email !

Regards

Seems like Kremlin has dug himself so far into a hole that he can't get out of it, and Neil has come along to pull him out.
You're a good man Neil. He would've ended up in China at that rate had you not stopped him!

We agree he may well have got as far as Japan but definitely not China.
As our materials are sourced in Japan (highest grade neoprene/metalite/polypropelene)he has been working the angles to get a trip over there... digging his way there was certainly something we had not considered !

Hope this also helps get Black Dog off the hook. An identity crisis is one thing but being mistaken for Kev is something one and all of us here at WindWarrior would not want to wish on anyone.
However we are pretty confident there would be no mistaking Kev's sailing style with anyone else. Have to be bit diplomatic here but let's just say his approach, particularly to wave sailing, is considered some what 'unique' by those within the WindWarrior community

You're a real worry Boris ?
Why so negative ?
I thought this was for a review on a bit of kit not a character and brand assassination.
Have you even seen or tried any of the kit ?

No I haven't tried any of the gear which is why you'll notice I haven't bagged it out at all. I haven't even commented on it. I'm sure its good.
I just entered this thread to light-heartedly point out your obvious identity.

From all this additional publicity generated, I think I deserve a free blastshield.

Mate you should probably try and contact them direct instead of assuming that I am some how involved.
For the 5th and FINAL time, I am not affiliated with WindWarrior, my only connection is that I purchased a garment from them and am looking to purchase another.
