Question for the Blade lovers!
Was about to press the button on some 2013 Severne Blades...but also have the option of saving about $150 per sail on 2012 Blades (new)....is it worth the extra bucks?
Do you think the 2013 are any more durable??
(im suddenly having a spate of busting my sails in some heavy down the line)
cheers all

I've used both and can't tell the difference on the water.
The 5.3 on the 2012 model had a shorter luff, even though it was stated as 432cm (same as 2013) it actually rigged as 428cm.
I was searching for some new 2012's to replace my used one's but eventually got a great deal on new 2013's from Boardcrazy in BNE - give them a call they might have some left
I have blades 6.3 / 5.7 (2013) & 5.3 (2012) had previously 5.7 (2011 & 2010 - i replace one every year as most used sail on east coast) the sails changed a fair bit between the 12 and 13 models, in boom length and weight, that id notice a lighter and crisper feeling, but same level of power (rigged on gorilla masts), but i'd only think you'd notice the difference in the bigger sails sizes, e.g. 5.7 & 6.3.
So if money wasn't a driver i'd buy the 2013 sails in the larger sizes, or if the sails were smaller go the 2012, and put the difference to fuel money to chase the waves.
But to completicate the issue if i could save on the sails, and put the money towards a severne enigma carbon boom, id but the 2012 sails and buy the boom in the future. It's buy far is the best windsurfing kit i'd ever purchased, and best dollars spent to date.
I have a 2013 5.3m red blade for sale in the Buy and sell section only $490 already sold my 013 4.7m and 6.2m Blades
