Looking at buying a FSW 85 2010 - have previously had 83 JP Wave, anyone tried the new FSW, back in adelaide sailing off metro coast after a stint in WA.
All I can say is try RRD FSW.....i just bought a 2010 fsw and its fantastic and $500 cheaper
the JP Full woods are $2399
The JP Pro editions are $2999
Compare apples with apples construction wise.
thus 2399 - 500 = 1899
the rrd is an all glass board "faux edition", similar in construction to the JP full wood, the jp pro has a carbon kevlar deck and full double bias carbon bottom.
yes the wood construction boards underwent a change, in particular they now have a limited winish where the wood grain is visable through the paint. Most weight would have been saved there i would guess. Also all the JPs are shorter= lighter.
