Anyone knows of a swap meet for the windsurfing/kite gear in WA?
It's nice to have new boards demos, but the prices of the new gear are too steep for me. A swap meet would be fanatastic.
Has anyone tried to organise one yet?
it will never happen in perth so long as my $%@ points to the ground it has been tried before .as soon as it is talked about all the whingers come out of the wood works .oh,ohoh,,oh no we dont want to up set any of the shops and that is as far as it gets . there has been a swap meet at saftey bay the last few years but one of the guys who help orginize it has been booted out of the country so that may not be on as well . if you want to go to a swapmeet for windsurfing gear the only way is to set one up yourself or go to another state . sad state of afairs for a place that has so much windsurfing ![]()

Anyone know what the legal situation is if a beachside venue and time period was decided and people just turned up? If its not organised by any of the shop owners then no one owner has any vested interest - its just organised by the windsrufing community. Just wondered whether technically its ok for people to buy sell things in a public space?
Jeeez, we're hardly talking illicit substances
I guess if permitting is required, it would be similar to that required (if any?) for car boot sales.
Matt,
I was discussing with KA
S69 to have one here at Windshack, we have plenty private facility to run the show. Pull up a date (must to be on Sunday) and I'll check with the homies. I'll post logistic advise where to park and how display it.
Looking good to me! ![]()
