Go 99 length 216 width 76.3 tail 50.1
Dissatisfied with my recent injury I was trying to make myself feel better reading about board design. I'm not really interested in a new freeride board, but I was impressed by the large width and short length of the new starboard Go, which to my understanding is not meant to be an out there board, but rather a intermediates board.
It seems shorter and wider than the SB Atom or the Fanatic Gecko and at that length it could be very fun.
Whaddayareckon? Has anyone sailed one of these?
Do we sell any in Australia or are they only bought by windsurfing schools in Morroco/Greece?
I don't think I've ever seen a second hand "Go" in the buy and sell...perhaps they are really great and noone gets rid of them?
It's not made clear. I mean a beginners/intermediate board at 99litres is aimed at the very light weight. I guess I am interested in a board my boy can ride/learn on ( he's about to turn three so a little time before I start him!) but I am also interested in these new super wide freeride boards with low volume like the *board atom, fanatic Gecko, jp magic ride. They sound like they would be fun to play on.
The 99 is a great board for kids to learn on, but the Go boards are good intermediate freeride boards too. They come in a number of sizes.
Windforce in Perth has a new 99 in stock. Second hand Go boards do come around but they sell very quickly because they are such good progression boards.
