Thumbs Up

Finally got it out in some cross off small waves - gusty 15-25 knt chest to head high.

For someone who has never ridden a twinnie before - try one - this thing gets going easy, floats my 87kg's easily, points well and when you finally get it on a wave I think you'll surp[rise yourself.

Bottom turns like its on rails and you can adjust from a down the line cruise to hard and more vertically and it's like its on rails - the cutties are so sweet controllable slide and easy to pull back and just feels awesome. The acceleration on the wave face is fantastic when you want to blast past a section - it just seems to take off. I certainly am no KAuli Seadi - but have surfed for a long time and this is the closest I have come to actually getting that surfing feelin / manouverability - roll on more surf

Negatives: Got a bit bouncy when it hit 30+ knts and choppy +++. (not really designed for that) but still bottom turned on a small choppy face really well without sliding out

I find the foot strap widths a little narrow and my feet got "jammed" when exiting a wave a few times.

Tail is narrow and I found I needed to keep the back foot further forward when schlogging otherwise it turns upwind (probably my poor technique here) a little easier that the old 84 RRD.

I can only say this thing was the most fun I have had wave sailing. The thing rocks.

I was a bit sceptical of twinnies - one wave and i thought - far out that felt good - a couple more and all I can say is the possibilities will be limited by the amount of waves we get and how hard your willing to push it - wonder what the 84 would be like!

Cheers
