Ive had a 7.5 and 6.5 for a few weeks now and couldn't find much info on web so I thought I would give some feedback IMHO.

The sails are a no cam 6 batten free ride / free race style that rig on either rdm or sdm. Boom length is reasonably short as well. They are cheap, light and well made which is all good. When rigged both sails have nice tension in the key areas with good shape and have a small amount of twist. I found rigging very easy and once downhaul was set to recommended little adjustment was necessary in outhaul for a wide wind range for both sails.

On the water its immediate that they are extremely light in the hands, balanced and require minimal effort to get up on the plane (even at 97kgs the 6.5 on a 115L rocket popped onto the plane in 16-17 knots). On the days Ive used the sails they have kept up with any free race style rig when matching similar board volume and sail area and best off all they require little effort to get good top end out of them.

Im really happy with them and IMHO would recommend them to anyone who wants a new cheap, light, quick and easy sail to blast around on in a wide range of conditions

Never heard of them. By cheap how much do you mean? The sail looks good.

Hi Mobydisc

Vandal are linked to Gaastra/Tabou and are stocked here in WA by Windsurfing Perth. The sails are 600 - 700 depending on size

Savings o n the sails can than be reinvested in a decent X9 carbon boom from NeilPryde ;-)
