A few pics below of my new 9.0 Titan GS.

I haven't had it on the water yet, but rigging and derigging is much nicer now with the wider sleeve (much less monofilm crinkling). Attention to detail (zippered boom opening for example) and quality also seems even better than previous years models.

Hoping to use this sail for high wind formula and light wind slalom. Will post up some comments after I have had it out on the water.

Cheers
James

I had a short sail yesterday afternoon in a dying seabreeze - probably 12 knots windspeed. Board was Exocet Sting 134, Select RS7 51cm fin. Sail was rigged on the recommended Maui SRS75 520.

The breeze was light so I had to pump a bit to get on the plane - the sail was nice and soft and hence easy to pump, more so than my 2009 Titans (11.0 and 7.5). Unfortunately the wind was dying so I wasnt super powered up but my GPS measured 25 knots boardspeed so that wasn't bad for fairly light wind. When planing, sail felt very balanced and more stable than my older Titans.

Rigging and derigging is very similar to what you would do for a modern wide sleeve cams-off race sail, maybe took an extra minute to rig compared to my older Titans, but hardly any wrinkling of the monofilm is worth a bit of extra time.

Looking forward to trying it on my Formula board in stronger racing conditions.

stupid question:

if you are racing, why stop @ the Titan and not use the TR ?
i imagine the line between these sails is getting smaller in any case !!

thx
