I have the 09 84l twin....i am by no means a great wave sailor but find that with this board it makes snappy turns without too much effort and holds the rail well on more drawn out turns...planes pretty early; I am 93kgs and had a 86l freewave before this and find the twin easier to sail and get going, also pretty forgiving if you catch a rail;just seems to slide out and bit and then comes back into line........dont want to get into an argument about comparing singles, twins, thrusters and quads but i think that the twin for me just makes it easier to be a better wave sailor...![]()
I got an 86lt 2010 about 2 months ago and cant fault it. i weigh 80 kgs and have used it from nuking 4.0m weather to nice glassy 5.4m dtl and everything in between. Potentialy a one board solution.
Its' quck to plane yet never seems to feel to big, has all the turning ability you expect from a twin yet seems to have the drive of a single which was a really nice surprise particularly in onshore conditions.
And its fast and light so really nice for jumping. I read a review elsewhere that said if you need to go faster, get a slalom board and i don't disagree with that.
