The s1 is designed to be fast , light in the hands and a very lightweight maximum performance oriented sail. It MUST be riffed on a skinny - preferably a Powerex RDM.

They feature a pretty flat foil - especially above the boom and i find that lighter riders (80 kg and below) and more advanced riders tend to get the most out of them.

If you are learning , wiping out alot or just venturing into the surf i would reccomend the renegade or blade as these are a little gruntier (bottom end power that you can feel - although the s1 does 5.7 seems to have a freakisj amount of power when you need it) and are designed towards a little more durablity.

The flat foil on the S1 lends itself to freestyle crossover moves.

How bad is my speed typing!

go here for an older review - still relevant to the feel of the sail though

Thats Ty Bodycoat on the test page - one of the freakiest wave sailors i have ever seen- Wave threo-s, Air takas, tail slide takas, MONSTER back loops 1 handed , Planing forwards , Double forwards - such a freak The S1 very much suits his style- Aussie legend! He won the Mambo windsurfing 3 years ago and is hands down the best freesailor in OZ - possibly on the planet!

Basically the S1 is for the sailor looking to push the limits.Less heavy sailors love em too cos they are super light in the hands!

please surf over to the S1 product page to see if the S1 suits your riding style - hope this helps !
