Just watched the video of Glynn and Vando's flat water session at Yamba. Would love to know more about this spot. Where do you launch from and where exactly is the 'run'. I'm assuming it was a SE on the day. Looked fast and flat! Cheers, Jack.

Jack, you need a good strong NE wind its no good in southerly direction. We stayed at the Calypso caravan park Yamba & launched at the end of the park off Whitings beach for the flatest water low tide is best behind the rock wall can be gusty so you need 25kts or so is best.

We will pick a good weekend again & announce it on SB its a fantastic spot if you get it right Phil Nott is a regular there once or so every year Vando, Ray & I were first timers sailing there. Some of the local told me its not very good most of the year & am not sure anyone has speed sailed there since we were there in Oct.

I have also sailed there a couple of years ago in a strong NE'er. Awesome spot. Much longer run than Wello.
