I could only manage a quick 'lunch break' blast yesterday...but gee it was worth it, haven't seen the lake as consistent as that for a long time, nice angle also with more Sth in it....BOM was saying 18-28knt range at Maroochy during the session so was probably a tad more up at the Lake in the gusts.

Never seen so much water in it there either, deep, ...could sail from just a few meters in from the top car park (motorway end) normally the long walk out and shallowness S$%#s me...it's worth a crack there at the moment , especially if the ocean is a bit wild and messy as it currently is. Really flat over the Sunrise Beach/Noosa end, good spot to practice gybes.

Seems to be more people sailing there every time I go up there these days, which is a good sign for windsurfing.

I agree - Its a great place to sail. I was there for a week and last sail was last Wed (before the rain).
Good bunch of guys sail there as well.
If your staying in the Noosa area then its so close to get there rather than heading for Lake Cootharaba.
Cheers - I'll be back.......

I really like Weyba, so I share you sentiments. Stayed at Noosa last year in Oct, and hit Weyba any day there was wind. Great little lake, with a nice friendly lot that sail there regularly. Look forward to sailing there again this year.
