Interesting to see where and when it did blow, was fresh to frightening gusty and changing direction most of the arvo on the Sunny Coast...G/beach was a safe option...finally got to test out the 'community' speed board...I had never been on a speed board before, it was 'interesting',.. 6.5 was a bit much in the gusts..ended up on a wave board and 4.7, thanks for the pics Gav.![]()
I have to plug the NCX.. amazingly stable even in the big gusts, by rights I shouldn't have been able to hang onto such a big sail in some of the big blows that were hitting near 30k.
go
Yeah Jonsey kicked in 30kst E around 2 at Mooloolaba with some ballistic gusts,
checked bom later showed gusts of 40kts.
Out of control!
Love days like that, reminds of winter storms in Perth... Awesome Mool pics Shane ,Where did you launch, not off the rocks at the river mouth?
Are they some of my tracks Macro?
Turned off the GPS when I pulled the wave board out, nothing special in the numbers, not enough room to really get going .
Launched straight off the beach super gusty until you hit the wind line about 10m off the sand then was pretty consistent
to over powered.
Good over head down the line wave riding from outside break wall to beach epic!

Yes, your tracks from KA72 , I wanted to see your speed board runs.
I bought my first speed board a year ago and still didn't have a chance to use it.
haha yeah that's why this board is joint owned...will probably only come out a few times a year!![]()
Keen to test out Mool on wave board next big easterly, Shanes pic look awesome!...
Sadly this weeks forecast look strictly like SUP practice time!...
