Windwanderers Sunshine/Fraser Coast Windsurfing club has invited Guy Cribb to run one of his intuition clinics at Lake Cootharaba on the Sunshine Coast.
I am pleased to confirm that Guy will be holding a two day Intuition clinic at the lake on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th February 2014. Hi, I notice that your previous posts regarding the Guy Cribb clinic stated it was a 3 day clinic, and I have paid a deposit on that basis. Can you confirm it has been changed? If so, has the cost been adjusted?
Hi Orange Whip the dates I was given from Guy were 5-7 February. In his most recent update to me he has indicated that he is flying out now on the morning of 7 February. Please contact Guy directly for pricing (sorry I don't have exact costs at the moment). and any more details regarding this clinic.
I have just heard back from Guy. He has confirmed a 2 day free ride course at a cost of $350. What a bargain! Really looking forward to it.

I used these statements from Guy's website to decide..
Minimum Standard....
Should be able to do a basic beach start and have some experience in planing conditions (winds greater than force 4) but no need to have tried footstraps. Note- Dahab courses in June require a slightly higher level of windsurfing than other Freeride courses since it's always super windy at that time of year. In this respect, these courses participants should have some basic harness use and planing experience (not necessarily in footstraps.)I'll put an end to all the swimming and straining the muscles, making waterstarting easy and fast (especially the rig recovery) and show you how to keep the board under control, comfortably blasting in the footstraps and harness, instead swerving into the wind or catapulting!

Plus I have been watching Videos of participants in the Intuition Gybing video and feel that the minimum standards as stated are realistic.

Basic beach start 40% at this stage - Harness maybe 5% of the time only starting to get into trying it as arms are getting sore
planing - yet to experience it. Peter mentioned Lake Weyba on the 9th we are going to come up to that.
I think my level is not quite there yet - but working on it:-)

This will be an awesome course, I saw him in teaching a class at Coronation Beach in WA once and everyone looked to be having a great time. Well priced also.
