The charter of WQ is to generate higher participation rates for Windsurfing in Queensland by supporting affiliated clubs such as Bayside SC, RQYS, Lake Cootharaba SC, Windwanderers, Brisbane SC and others to attract more active members and foster youth windsurfing.
One current initiative is to ramp up the profile of WQ's social media presence by posting regular, original and authentic content that may be of interest to our existing and prospective windsurfing community.
WQ therefore seeks your help to:
1. "Like" and "Follow" WQ's Facebook page;
2. Invite your FB friends to like and follow WQ's FB page; and
3. Suggest to us at WQ ideas for content that might interest you and the broader windsurfing community.
Thanks in advance.

How would Breezers know we can trust this new media?
Because it has the Richie Fish seal of approval. You can trust me....(evil laugh ensues)
...oops that just slipped out![]()
Posting on social media is great advertising but please don't over do the posts. If this happens people will not look as it feels like they are being spammed. Otherwise great idea and just need everyone to like and share it to spread the word. Well done.
Great insight Martin - getting the balance right between frequency, quality and relevancy is important.
Surfinfreak - yes, we can. Paddles also suggested that we include some maps of ideal locations for a given wind direction and tide.
We we are about to launch an Instagram page for WQ, which we could also use to showcase photos of both locations we sail and of the locals in action.
in the short term, you can send your locations pics to us at WQ via Messenger from our Facebook page. Any commentary you can include about wind direction and tide would be a bonus!
