Thumbs Up

We had eight foilers out on the course on Saturday for the yardstick series out of RQYS. The levels varied from first timers on freeride gear to the new Olympic IQ equipment.

The races are run in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We usually do two races with two to three upwind / downwind laps.

We love to see new sailors come to test themselves and improve their skills. Help and tips are always on offer. You don't need the best foil equipment to learn to race.

You do not have to be a member of RQYS to race for the first few that you do. However once you pass a certain amount of races you are required to join. You can contact the sailing office for race day costs (Sailing@rqys.com.au). You only require a CREW membership for windsurfing which is roughly $40 per month which allows you to access the windsurf centre and facilities. You can contact membership for more info (membership@rqys.com.au).
