Looks like the stars have aligned for a great wave session on the ocean side of wello tomorrow (NE + Low Tide). Anyone care to join me? I'll aim to be there after 2pm.

You can tell you're in marketing big fella; ...stars ...waves ...ocean side?
It's just Moreton Bay isn't it? ![]()
What about Friday will it still be ok?
Yes, if the storms don't interfere the wind should be the same or better but the tide will be later. Low tide is best.

Obviously he hasn't sailed that side hey Scotty
Hey mate, what kind of conditions are you expecting..? If I don't sail on the Gold coast I'll be at Redcliffe or Sandgate, curious to whether the bump and jump conditions are better down your way.
You're welcome everyone. It's my first day back at work in 2-1/2 weeks so I'll take the credit for the predicted wind.
Cheers
Marty
Crack up! Waves, Brisbane? What were you smoking Scott?!
I have work down that way today, i will put the wave board in the car, that will guarantee no waves or strong wind!
Friday looks good, there is still some swell around the sunny coast at the moment, waves on Sunday through Mooloolaba were some of the biggest I have seen there for a long time, breaking right in front and off the side of the river mouth.
If you get the right tide and wind you can get the waves standing up over the reefs edge on the eastern side of wello.
nothing big but good fun.
doesn't look good for today wind wise
Hahaha, beggers can't be choosers, any wave is a good wave here in brizzy.
It is bloody good for me though, there aren't many better places to hit a rolling wave on port tack at full bore. For someone who is too greedy for jumps to learn how to wave ride it is perfect.
I think tomorrow is going to be the day as long as the storms don't kill it. There is a heap of cloud cover today and the wind isn't predicted to come in until late. I'll keep an eye on it and might sneak out if it is looking good.
Sorry my fault, did pack the gear, scared the wind away, hopefully tommorow,....packing a wave board for Brisbane what was I ever thinking!![]()
Sounds like fun but I'm useless at jumping on port tack. Where is the best spot for starboard tack jumping in the bay?

Most spots are pretty good in se'er. Only good place ive found in northerly is low-mid tide wello sail out on western side almost til reach beacons & there is a bank that stands the swells up nicely for big floaty jumps, but getting the exact right wind direction is hard. It's worth sailing the eastern side where scot is speaking of, very fun. Small waves... sail it when cyclone hits then it becomes sailing in mountains ![]()
Let us know how it goes Scotty. Do you reckon it will still be working on Saturday, or will the tide be too high?
Beaten by the rain, not sure if tomorrow will work Kookie, we were pushing it today with the tides. If the wind stays in all next week we may get another shot. I'll keep an eye on it.
