Hi All,
It's that time of year again when the world stands still for the Windsurfing Queensland Annual General Meeting.
I have booked a room at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron so we are all warm and enclosed in these winter breezes. RQ has been kind enough to give us the big room in case we have a large turn up.
I will need anyone coming to RSVP this year please so we can abide by RQ's Covid regulations. Please just reply to this post with numbers.
Venue:
Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron
Girdis Room
578 Royal Esplanade, Manly QLD 4179
Date: Wednesday the 29th July
Time 6.00pm
For anyone who wants a couple of quiet beverages or a bite to eat the bar and cafe will be open. The cafe menu is very good and I'll put the link below so you can see what's available.

I look forward to seeing everyone on the night.

You could make your birthday last for two days, all you need to do is bring a cake.......chocolate would be nice.
I'll bring some timtams
Tim tams with beer? Could work...
You have to suck the beer up through the Tim Tam.![]()
unfortunately the elected representatives of the Gold Coast Windsurfing Club will be in Port Douglas......![]()

Hi Scott, I'll be there at this stage...cheers Tim
Thanks Tim, anyone else just let me know. I'm probably being optimistic given the cold winds but we can only have 20 people in the room we've hired.

see you there
Hi All,
Here are the WQ AGM Minutes for your reference. You will notice that Cameron Whitford has been kind enough to step up and take the role as the new President of the club. He is very passionate about the sport and not afraid to fight for the needs of the members.
I am still involved as Secretary and will be there to help Cameron transition into the role. I've been president for ten years now and on the committee for 14 years. I have thoroughly enjoyed representing you all and lobbying the issues that have made the sport more inclusive. Everything the committee has worked on over the years has set a base that can accommodate exponential expansion. I can see a lot of new energy in the new committee and I am sure that with their enthusiasm and the new and exciting foiling divisions the sport will see better exposure and patronage in the coming years.
A big thanks for all of the support I've seen from the committee, members and general community over the years.
Best Regards, Scot Farley

On behalf of the Windsurfing Queensland Committee and the wider windsurfing community in Queensland I would like to say a big thank you to Scot Farley for 10 years of service to our sport as President of Windsurfing Queensland. In that time membership numbers have grown, the number of affiliated clubs have grown and Qld has hosted a Windsurfing World Championship to name a few of the achievements under his leadership. After 10 years he deserves a well earned rest but has chosen to still serve our sport on the WQ committee. Thank you again Scot for your service and I look forward to seeing you out on the water.
Sincerley,
Cameron Whitford
