Can anyone recommend a good spot. I am. Coming to the Green Island nats and thought of sailing on the way up or around Cairns. I am arriving in Cairns Thursday or Friday but the tides are quite low in the middle of the day. Will it be worthwhile going over to Green Island or is there somewhere else near Cairns that would be a good or on the way from Townsville. Thanks.
PM Snorkel692 . He's your man. ( Think I sailed with him back in the eighties when I lived in Townsville
)

So what he said. Also check out the FNQ Mob's GPSTC sessions which will give you an idea of places other than Green Island.

Some great sailing to be had here! Plus the Pallarenda to Strand run has the option of a midway coffee stop.
