A meeting is planned to discuss the future and structure of the Qld Bic Techno Assoc and RSX association. It will be held at The Yachting Queensland building adjacent RQYS at 1700 hours on 26th of June.
The Techno association has only functioned very loosely in recent years but with the current growth in youth windsurfing the time is right to formalise an association again to give our Qld sailors a voice in the Australian Techno Association, Australian Windsurfing Association and Australian Sailing and look after their interests and promote the class here in Qld.
Interested people are invited to attend.

Bic Techno & RSX Associations look like they are going to be combined

Plans are being discussed to try and get a junior league established in Qld that copies what WNSW has created for next season. Windsurfing NSW has already got dates and venues locked in that coincide with their formula and Raceboard series. They have created the junior format and called it "Rippers" and it is short races on soft sail (no cam) up to 4.5mtr I think. Again details to follow but it will be in multiple locations in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast and is aimed at kids starting from 11 years old. Branding and format to be the same as NSW to help establish a National junior league.
