Hey guys, it seems tomorrow it is going to be windy. What would be the optimal spot for such wind direction? Wellington point?

A few going to Bongaree @ Bribie about lunch or just after. As good/clean as you can get in sw. Afternoon tide should be a bit lower and water less choppy.

Sorry stuffed that up. Had the tides wrong way round. Still better than anywhere (I recon).

Bongoes went off! Great sailing, and the Westerly is clean as there. I'll be back!

Haven't seen that many there since late eighty's / early ninety's. Eight of us windsurfing, but someone at one stage counted 36 kite's. Not a problem what so ever. Kite's all stayed in close. Windsurfer's out the back. As good as it get's in a westerly, and what a great vibe. Good to meet a couple of new faces. Cheers.

I was part of the crew that sailed the old wreck back from the early 80s through to the early ninetie. Now four of us kite at Brighton but have fond memories of southern tip of the island And still rate it as one of the best spots around. While it works better than most places in a westerly, I still sat today.

I was with Ian in that a few less feet on those waves and I'd be a lot happier. ended up doing a few runs on my windsup in the shorey just so I could confirm I got wet. if you can call it that. took a lot of photos. massive day!

I've never seen it that good there before. world class.

in the arvo it went more SW and howled it's tits off. unlike the earlier session where you'd get blown off the back of the wave because it was so offshore in the arvo session it was classic dtl stuff. I think the issue is the gear was too big. those that stayed rigged down and still got done in the gusts.
