I followed up on this report today (Thursday) and Unity Water tell me that their water tests are still showing levels of contaminated water that are unsafe. They can't predict when it will be ok but generally it is 2-3 days. The warning signs will stay in place until then. I am told that multiple tests are being done each day and that it is ok to ring them for an update. Apparently the amount of sewerage that flowed into the system on Tuesday was not a large amount but certainly enough to make swimming unsafe.

Hi all, how is Golden Beach looking for this Sunday at low tide? Is it clean water now?
