Hi All,
General manager of RQYS, Shawn Ket and I would like to invite everyone (boat sailors, kitesurfers, SUP's, windsurfers) to a Sunday Coffee Cruise in one week time.
The schedule for that Sunday (12.06.2016)
10:00-11:00 rig up in RQ for a cruise
11:00 - 11:45 - sail from RQ to Wellington point - arrive to the beach (high tide so no worries)
Arrival to Wellington Point at 11:30 - 12:00
12:00-12:45 Coffee - FREE OF CHARGE FOR SAILORS (boat sailors, kitesurfers, SUP's, windsurfers)! (no need to be a member)
12:45 - 13:30 - departure to RQYS
The cruise will be supervised by a safety boat.
Hope to see you either in RQ or at Wellington Point Caffee!
Max
Interesting but I am afraid of falling off the board in the middle of the sea without knowing how to waterstart :(
Oh Ho!
A broadside from Ramming Speed Ray!
You are on Wilson!
And the last one there gets to buy the bacon butties!
The Pom
Should be good fun Max, but the Pom will probably want to be served English Breakfast Tea.
And a croissant / hot chocolate combo for the Frenchs
I heard that the Pom did enjoy his English Breakfast Tea and then when Ray got there he too enjoyed some afternoon tea.
It might pay to have a look at the forecast for Sunday. There could be more rescue boats required.
Yes, Sunday's looking like a blast.

THE SUNDAY CRUISE IS STILL ON!
for those who would like to chill out I am going to set slalom marks in front of RQ beach!. Everyone is welcome to use it for Sunday.
For those who would like to have a cup of coffee and talk about windsurfing, join us and meet us at 10:00 in RQ. At 11:00 we will depart to Wello for a coffee (or tea!)
See you tomorrow!

Thanks for a great cruise guys as I would not have sailed there and back in 20 knots without the reassurance of fellow sailors (and a safety boat), so it was a great opportunity for me. The rigging tips were something I can take away with me. The coffee was good too. The concept will help old returnees regain some self confidence lost over the years out of the sport so I suggest anybody thinking of joining in future cruises, please do so.
Yes Ritchie it was a good ride back, certainly tested me at my level of ability.
Cheers.

What an ace days sailing.
Great to get over to wello with the team, and even better that someone else is buying the coffee! (Thanks coach).
My favourite bit?
Coming home on my 100lt and 6.3m and nearly getting pulled out of my straps by a bullet...and watching Mark buckle down on his race board next to me and just ride out the blast!!!! Great work mate, you were hauling ass!
That coupled with watching our State Champion going so fast that he striped the slot gasket out of his board!
Looking forward to next week.
Si
Nice work Max!
Glad to hear your coffee cruise was a success! For those that want some more (potentially) high wind longboard sailing, the Wally crew invites all longboarders/raceboarders/whatever, to join us on the Gold Coast this Sunday. We'll be sailing from 'KFC' as its commonly known apparently - the park at the end of North St., Southport and we'll sail out to and around Wavebreak Island. Meeting 11am this Sunday 19th June.
