We will have a “Sunday Cruise” from the RQYS Beach on Sunday 17th Jan 2016.
We would strongly encourage all sailors to take part, especially those who are learning to windsurf. Go on, bite the bullet and give it a go!

Together we would like to celebrate great news for the club. RQYS has received a grant from Queensland Government of $100.000 to build a new windsurfing centre to promote the sport in the local area. If you want to share your ideas or just meet friends while windsurfing/sailing, we invite you to sail from RQ (loo with the view) to Wellington Point and back. Free sausage sizzle will be ready on arrival back to RQ.
Event schedule:
1300 – briefing and launch ASAP after
1600 — BBQ with friends back at RQYS

Safety motorboat will be provided by the club.
For those who don’t yet know how to windsurf, during the cruise there will be a FREE Learn To Windsurf session from 13:15 until 15:15. We will meet in RQYS, at the beach. This session is free for the first 15 people signing up and is designed for kids as well as adults who had never windsurfed before. Just send an email to rsxcoach@gmail.com and you will get a reply within 24 hours.
Would love to but the Free Race at Cootharaba might be on - if it is not on Max we will be there
Cheers

Hi Maksior is this lesson session on Sunday happening instead of the Saturday/morning/high tide one that was run last Saturday.
cheers derek
Great news about grant and congratulations to RQYS for efforts in actively promoting such a great sport
I'm sorry I can't make this due to work commitments but I would like to congratulate all involved at RQ to make this happen.
Well done.
Wello in a SE might be a bit difficult for those without centreboards. Green Island is nice at high tide.
What an awesome afternoon on the water!
Thanks to Max and the RQ crew for making the best of the the difficult conditions
My son Max was absolutely thrilled. He really enjoyed having other kids to sail with :-)
Proud dad moment... To see him heading out into the chops with waves crashing over the front of his board while being blown into the rock wall then tack and head back up wind to the beach. Already more accomplished than his dad ;-)
The BBQ and debrief topped of a great afternoon
Thanks
Cheers Jeff
