Extremely saddened by the passing of Matt. He was not only a good friend/sailor and all round good guy, he was a very talented bloke in anything he did or put his mind too. Having a beer after sailing with Matt and other sailors was something I look forward to after a windsurf at GB. When the NE starts kicking in during spring / summer season there is usually a flurry of texts between us at Golden Beach, if Matt was going, we all going. Going sailing and not seeing the Land Rover or Matt there won't be easy for us. A lot of good memories sailing with Matt and will be missed by us all. Gone way to soon! We will miss you mate. RIP

Hey Crew,
Im totally blown outta the water by Matts passing.
Matt n i were good mates, had many Pub lunches, Mad sailing sessions at GB over the past 7years.
Gonna miss this guy, his ability to fix anything and his quiet calm nature.
Forever going to be MATTS CHANNEL in front of where he lived....
RIP MATT.

So very sad and shocked on hearing of Matt's passing and sorry I couldn't attend the funeral. As Moz said it's going to be strange not seeing Matt ripping with us at GB when the northerlies start again and enjoying a beer with him after a session. RIP Matt.
