QFWA AGM Date confirmed!

Hey everyone, I hope the wind and waves have been treating you well!

Calling all former/current and future QFWA members! After a slowish couple of years with the club due to a whole variety of factors we are all keen to ramp things up again. We have some new keen faces ready to get involved in the running of the club and ramping back up the events over the year. Please come and be involved and have your say on the movement forward with the Queensland Freewave Association. Due to a variety of commitments, the AGM is a bit behind schedule, but here are the details:

DATE: Sunday 6th August
VENUE: 33 Clement St, Woorim Bribie Island
TIME: 12pm start - early enough for a sail after formalities (the ocean is 100m walk away - lots of space for rigging) and BBQ afterwards.

Agenda:

1. Welcome
2. Apologies
3. Presentation of Annual Report
4. Presentation of Financial report
5. Nominations - standing down of current office bearers and nominations for positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity officer, WQ Representative. Vote of thanks for incoming office bearers.
6. General Business - Membership fees, website/media, tentative planned events and dates for 2017-18 season.
7. New business
8. Close of meeting

So since the venue right near the water, maybe we could get a SUP or sail if the breeze is up or people are interested.

There are already a number of people interested in the positions above, but if you are keen to get involve and nominate yourself for a position, please email me at wjohn85@eq.edu.au and I will put your name down as a nominee.

UPDATE: AGM postponed!!!!

Sorry guys and girls if you were planning to attend tomorrow - unfortunately we have had to postpone the AGM until further notice.
