High tide at Nudgee Beach and a strong northerly can be very special, Sunday and Monday look promising. Tack out to the airport to find some nice steep ramps with flat water in between. And best of all, only a 10 minute drive from Brisbane.

Hey there Dr Gas
I live not far from Nudgee but never sailed there b4. Apart from a good northerly, what conditions are right for Nudgee? I spose it needs a high tide. it would be nice tonsail so close to home.

LucyLee, the area is shallow shelving beach. Kinda muddy/ coarse sand. Halftide up should give enough water.Any wind from North thru East to South will get in there. Wind against tide makes steep close chop. Similar location is Shorncliffe.
